The Grapeforktm Harvesting Tool is a unique device which safely severs clusters from the vine. It features a detachable cutting head with encased blades; when the blades get dull (approx. 3 days of work) just pop in a fresh, new cutting head and you are ready to go.
The tool is simple to use. Grab a cluster with your free hand. Push the tool towards the cluster stem. The shape of the cutting head "feeds" the stem into the blades. The fruit is severed from the vine either by pushing through the stem or by a simple twist of the tool.
The design of the cutting head also limits finger contact with the blades. This greatly reduces the chance of finger and hand lacerations so common with shears and knives.
